Mask Up Watertown
In an effort to raise public awareness, the Watertown Area Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the City of Watertown and the Covid-19 task force, encourage residents and visitors to be aware of the importance of masks during this time. Masks have been proven to aid in mitigating the spread of COVID-19. We encourage you to do your part in protecting our local businesses and community by wearing a cloth face covering when social distancing cannot be maintained. If we all do our part we can help slow the spread of the virus and keep our community healthy.
What I think is important to communicate is if two people are wearing masks, the exposure is limited and the person will not have to quarantine. So if patrons are properly wearing masks and staff are properly wearing masks, and let’s pretend one has COVID and doesn’t know it, then the exposure is limited and quarantine will likely not be necessary. -Jennifer Bender, Prairie Lakes Healthcare System
